Content Management Systems

Content Management Systems (CMS) allow non-technical users to publish and edit online resources.

CMSs empower content-producers to manage the content of blogs, news sites, and retail sites in a collaborative manner, without requiring any programming experience. CMS systems can be deployed standalone, or as a module in a larger system, since they are usually available as open-source. Using a CMS -- rather than rolling your own document management system, for example -- means you have a smaller chance of permitting file upload vulnerabilities in your code.
